Playing death in games in exchange for one's life is not an uncommon theme in stories. In "The Seventh Seal" a crusader that
returns home has to play Death in chess to keep his life. He continues to win and avoid having his life taken from him until
he loses one game. He knows he is about to lose and smashes the pieces from the board. Death does not get flustered and reminds
him that he knows where the pieces went. This movie is about coming to terms with life and death.
