Ghost (1990)

Directed by Jerry Zucker

Ghost is a movie about death, and the mysterious phenomenon of ghosts. Most ghosts scare people, ravage innocent citizens (Ghostbusters), or turn children's toys into formidable foes (Poltergeist). However, the ghost in this movie, played by Patrick Swayze, must protect his love from people who wish to do her harm. Yet again we see how love plays a major role in death. The movie also shows a common fact among ghosts, most of them can't communicate with the living. Certain people, psychics, can hear the dead and try to connect them with their loved ones.

The movie is a good example of a dead man trying to protect his living lover. Love seems to conquer all adversity, even death itself.
